Green Park’s wind turbine is a modern, prominent landmark in Reading’s skyline today. The Turbine is situated in Green Park, business park in the South of Reading next to Junction 11 of the M4 Motorway. The turbine is said to be the UK’s most visible turbine.
The 3 blades are 33 metres (108 ft) long, the tower being 85 metres (279 ft) in height.
The turbine was completed in 2005 and when at full output can generate enough electricity to power approximately 1,500 homes.
