City Status odds Still have Reading as favourites
With the winner of the prestigious City Status award fast approaching, with the winner expected to be announced in February, who do the bookies think will take the title? Last year we looked at the odds when the we published an artcle in May. Reading were favourites to take the City Status title with odds of 6/1, 8/1 and even as long as 9/1!
But as the competition has developed, and the time evaporated, let’s see how they have changed.
Paddy Power, who originally offered Reading at 8/1 now have a price of 4/5, with the second favourite being Perth in Scotland at 8/1 with Medway, Milton Keynes, and Doncaster all coming in third with a price of 10/1.
However, due to the media interest in William Hills large odds of 9/1 last year, Reading has been shortened to 10/11 with Perth and Middlesbrough coming in second at 10/1.
