Plans for old Hewlett Packard site in Reading to be made public
After much speculation of what will become of the large 20 acre former home of Hewlett Packard site in South Reading, Berkshire, developers have given the first indication.
The latest plans intend over 300 homes, a supermarket and a bus depot. If the plans are approved, it will create hundreds of local jobs in the Whitley area of Reading and regenerate the key positioned brownfield site.
The developers will showcase the plans at an exhibition at St Agnes Church Hall on Northumberland Avenue, Whitley between 12-7pm on Friday 3rd February and 10am-4pm on Saturday 4th February.
The developers Worton Grange Industrial Ltd (WGIL) will share the full plans on their website from 3rd February.
In our previous stories about the old site in South Reading being converted into a storage depot or a “racino”.
What do you think of the new plans? What were you hoping for from this site, which has been vacant since 2006 when Hewlett Packard moved offices to Bracknell.
