Reading officials took the long awaited train into London to submit the towns City Status bid.
The Bid, which was compiled by Reading CIC along with help from you, the people, via the People’s Bid, submitted by The City of Reading was submitted for review by Her Majesty and advisors.
The winner will be announced next spring as part of the Celebration for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with Reading in a good position to take the prize.
